If you have your privacy invaded by double glazing, kitchens
or credit card companies ringing you up out of the blue
trying to flog you once in a life time opportunity to
pay over the odds for new windows or a kitchen. Or to
tell you that you quality for a great customer benefit
of over prices payment protection insurance. Sound familiar?
There is an easy way of stopping these companies from
legally phoning you - what's more its totally free.
You can register on the Telephone Preference Service
(TPS) and by law companies have to remove these numbers
from their cold calling lists. (register
here). If they still call after 30 days then
complain and they could be fined. Although, if you tell
them you are on the TPS they can't wait to get off the
phone
You can also remove your self from direct
mail lists and
fax lists as well
